I have been a selling on eBay since March 2013. I remember vaguely, when I first started selling on eBay at that time there was some holds when my account was fresh but nothing even close to what has happened this month, and under eBay's new payment management. So after opening up a new warehouse and new account last month. Out of nowhere and without notice someone at eBay puts a hold asking for verification of self and property. Form there they placed a hold, 5k which was scheduled to come out. Then they restricted the account to allow no sales. I sent over what they wanted like 5 times in attempts to appease them and they kept on asking for some additional information. They kept on asking to see receipts of the items we purchased and I kept on telling them that there was no receipts because all of the items were donated. From there they became interested and wanted to see all of my records and see all of my trade secrets. I had to show them my whole business model to get them to stop the hold and release the hold. The hold lasted 11 days and almost crippled us as I am heavily reinvested into my business. Finally when it was lifted, eBay waited 12 days and decided to put ANOTHER HOLD ON OUR ACCOUNT. This time they called it a Periodic Performance Review, PPR? Now our funds are on hold AGAIN!! I swear some corporate prick at HQ is messing with us. If not the corporate inefficiencies are staggering. We are actively seeking a different ecommerce solution.
