An Ebay Email asking me as a seller to verify my payouts

I just sold a few things this week for over $500 and  afterwards I reviewed two Emails purportedly from Ebay asking me to verify my bank information. The Emails seemed very legit with no misspellings. When I went to my bank information, I saw an account number I did not instantly recognize (might be my savings account).  I received two messages in my Ebay inbox asking me for account verification as well.

I have never had any trouble with getting payment from Ebay before.  Nor have in all my years been asked to verify anything. It just seems very odd.

I have not clicked to confirm anything.  Have I been hacked? And what should I do if I have been?

Re: An Ebay Email asking me as a seller to verify my payouts

When I receive emails from eBay, I hover the links in my email client and am shown where the links lead. If the same message is in your eBay Messages under the "from eBay" tab, it is safe click the link within eBay Messages.

You may also find the message as a banner in your Seller Hub page or wallet page.

If you were an early inductee into eBay Managed Payments, when eBay had fewer requirements, you may simply be catching up, now that you have crossed the $600 tax reporting threshold.
