Just got an email from Amazon advising that the Recast will not be able to perform its primary function -- recording and streaming broadcast television in two days. There are 92 auctions for the Recast and buyers and sellers may not be aware of this. I am posting this here as a public service.

Starting 9/27/24, your Echo Show devices will no longer be able to record and stream content from Fire TV Recast. You will still be able to use your Fire TV streaming devices and Fire TV mobile app, available on iOS and Android devices, with Fire TV Recast. Echo Show devices continue to offer a variety of entertainment options, such as Fire TV Channels, Prime Video, online streaming providers, and more.
