Allstate Claims chat site unresponsive

BACK STORY:

iPhone received on 3/14/25 frozen at Hello screen despite charging fully. Apple tech support was very diligent in attempts to fix. They were unsuccessful. eBay refurbished warranty includes one year coverage with Allstate Protection Plan. 
Allstate Claims website requests email. Providing email multiple separate times yields no reply to that (my) email. 

Immediate Issue: Allstate Support contact method is Chat. Chat was obdurate and stopped replying to my (polite) messages. This occurred multiple times over 8-hours with multiple Chat Agents. Time for letters to Allstate CEO & Board in Northbrook, Illinois with copies to FTC, Consumer Reports and NY Times Wirecutter? eBay appears to lack any procedure or mechanism for communication regarding any Allstate Protection Plans (included with eBay Refurbished purchases).

@zcs68_63   There is a phone number you can try for Allstate.  They are not good at paying out on their warranties.      If your phone was just delivered yesterday on 3/14/25 then I recommend returning it for a refund using the eBay Money Back Guarantee.

Here's how to return the phone for a refund provided you have not had it more than 30 days.  
The eBay Money Back Guarantee over rules the sellers return policy. You have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a not as described return request.

Here's what you need to do:

Open a return with the reason doesn't work/ defective

Select the return item button on this page:

4 business days after filing the return request if the seller has not provided a return shipping label or a full refund then ask eBay to step in and help: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/ask-ebay-to-step-in?id=4701

Let me know if you need to return an item to another country as there are additional steps required. The seller pays return shipping for an item that is not as described no matter where they are located.

Wow! Kudos to you for your Advice and Instructions. I am fewer than 35 miles from the seller (presuming that they are actually located in Brooklyn, NY).

 Cosmetically, this iPhone SE 2nd Generation [backup line for family emergencies] is just about perfect (and included a charger/transformer & charging cable). And it is white (enabling me to see it on the nightstand when calls come in during the wee hours). Oh, well.

 

I will post my progress with the return.
