For some reason, all of my activity from 2024 is missing. Purchases, messages, browsing, all of it is gone.
I want to contact the seller from my most recent purchase, but even the purchase isn't showing up, ditto for all of 2024.
Um, today is April 1, is this eBay's idea of an April Fools prank?

I've finally sorted out some of how the wheels fell off, but not all of it. The yoke seller got back to me, and we pieced out what names appeared where.
There is a second account after all. How it came to be set up is unclear, but it was set up on 15 March. Which means any browsing between (loosely) Jan 1, 2024 and March 14, 2024 is still unaccounted for. There were no purchases in that period, under either account, which is accurate.
As best I can figure out, there was a notice from eBay which I took to be phishing, and prompted me to change passwords. Based on the second account's (minimal) info, I used our post office's physical address (it's how we get our mail), not the residence address as part of what I took to be resetting my only account. What I thought was cleaning up the account I've had since May, '98 in fact created a second account. However that happened, my password manager had no trace of the new account; I had to gen a new password to access this account. That's odd as all password generation/replacement prompts the manager to capture the activity; it didn't happen until today.
So, at this point the missing sales have been located (all post March 15, 2024). The browsing history is lost (no great loss). I'll let the second account exist for 90 days "just in case", and then close it.

Is it possible you made your 2024 purchases using a different eBay account?
The account you are using at the moment last received feedback over ninety days ago.

I only have one account. BTW, I didn't receive notice of your reply. I found it as part of trying to sort out what's up with my account.

I only have one account.
How certain of this are you? It is quite easy to inadvertently create a new eBay account by using a social media account to sign in, for example.

Very certain.
EBay sent a request, asking me to review one of the missing purchases, showing the right account, but won't let me post a review because it's not in my purchase history. Searching 024 and "last 60 days" all come up empty.

Is the item still listed (not removed from the site)?
If you go to the item listing, does it indicate you made a purchase?

The item's still listed (See 266727970163 ) and marked as sold, but there's nothing about who bought it. Keep in mind that I received an automatic "review this item" email from eBay for this item.
In other words, the listing doesn't say "you bought this", but eBay sent me an email saying "review what you bought".
The browsing I did the other day is still present and correct.

I would say that is pretty strong evidence that you actually purchased the item using a different eBay account.

The physical location in the listing is correct, and there's one very specific detail in the photos that matches what I received. In short, this is the right listing. However, the partial account makes no sense to me whatsoever.
I've just tried to send a message to the seller, to see what he knows. There was something unusual about the package, something we discussed in detail, that I've mentioned again, in hopes the seller won't think I'm phishing.
Re-locating the alarm sensors, they're fairly common, will be harder, and I had no contact with the sellers.
Again, it looks as though somewhere along the line some DP wheels fell off. What's needed is to hear directly from eBay.

Hi @rbemerson
If you’re certain that you have only one eBay account … then you may have accessed eBay without signing into your account. You could have purchased as a Guest … and would have to find the confirmation email you received following your purchase(s).

Sigh... will everybody please stop the "guest account" natter!
Three separate purchases from three separate sellers on three separate days plus two plus months worth of browsing are gone. I use a password manager to access places like eBay, Amazon, etc. I don't keep long, random character passwords in my head.

Purchasing ‘as a Guest’ DOES NOT involve using another ‘account’.
It means purchasing an item without signing in to ANY eBay account.
