Adding a prepaid gift card to my account

How can I "JUST" ADD multiple gift cards, (that I received for my birthday), to my Ebay account >>>  to use them later? Right now there is nothing that I want to buy on eBay, but I dont really want to risk losing my card,  because I would lose the money that is already added to it. Thank you. -Erinkr83

The only way I know of to add an eBay gift card to your eBay account is to use the card to make a purchase. Any remaining balance should appear as a line item on the checkout page with a box to check to apply the amount to a future purchase.
