Did you mean:

A buyer claims they have not received an item but USPS states it was delivered.

I have a buyer who claims his package was not received.  USPS clearly shows the tracking route and a delivery date.  It sounds like there is a central (Lobby perhaps?) location where the packages are left for the tenants.  The leasing manager where he lives claims the box was never received to that location.  The buyer is requesting a refund from me (roughly $85) for the item + shipping.  The buyer does not blame me.  I'm not excited about losing $85 over this.  Maybe it was stolen somehow, maybe the buyer didn't like the item and instead of just telling me it doesn't fit or doesn't look right on him, or maybe the USPS lied.

What do I do?

Tell buyer:

If tracking shows it was delivered to your address, but wasn't, call or visit the carrier with the tracking number and insist they track down where the package was actually left, which they can do with scans and GPS.

If delivered to a wrong address they will try to retrieve it. Also watch the tracking for a scan it got turned in or returned to the seller.  If it shows it was delivered to your address and is now stolen or missing, it is a matter for a local police report and your insurance company. Neither ebay or the seller can help further.

Thanks---this seems like a pretty good suggestion.  I messaged the buyer with it.
