totally lost

Is anyone else as lost as i am with these clues because most of the correct thing have no association to the clue. like ragtime is jazz not a sport card. i dont get it.

Well the Alaska one was because during the gold rush, potatoes were almost as valuable as gold! So then you look up gold.. I looked all over under gold listings as fast as I could and just missed it..
And NO I'm not that smart! I looked at google under Alaska and potatoes.. 🙂
