I know when you open the 'right' auction page, the banner is on the page, but does that "congratulations" red white and blue banner show up on the SMALL PICTURE icon to the left of the auction, as well?

you mean in the search results listings? no. that would make it too easy, you MUST click through to the item page to tell if it's the right one
