ok, we all have read the "This is a Hoax" and so forth and so on topic titles. This is not one of those, so continue to read, please!
I'm a little pissed off at EBAY myself for the fee raising, (by the way this is how they will be paying out over $225,000.00 to the treasure hunt winners...that and the cost of relisting fees of the millions of items that did'nt sell in the last week!!)
anyway, I believe that there is a better way that EBAY could go about this tresure hunt if they decide to do this again! Too many of these items are being won by random searching(i've heard as much as 80%)and not by the people actually taking all the time looking for them, hoping to win! Even if it was 50% I believe that would be too much!
Well, here is what i believe could be a solution to that. EBAY should have a seperate sign-in page for the actual TREASURE HUNT. Before you can search for the treasures you must sign into this page, that way only sign-in searches are allowed to search for the treasure hunt items! This would elimnate the "random searhes" & the "i did't even know there was a treasure hunt" from winning the auctions that so many of us are taking ALOT of TIME to figure out! I know there is not a 100% solution, but this would be a start!

I suggest we start calling ebay or emailing BILL COBB the president of ebay at billcobb@ebay.com. I am not very happy either! Especially since I really do not have a chance of winning! But my sales will have suffered dramatically for it!

well besides the treasure hunt taking SOME sales away ---there is a large petition and boycott against ebay lots of sellers and buyers refuse to use ebay this week, from the 18th till the 25th DUE TO THE RATE INCREASES..........funny how the tresure hunt fit in there, I am a power seller and have not listed a item(other user id) normally i list 200 items a week, rather not sell and show ebay they can't control everyone..........i have bought a few items I had wanted but not like i normally do just a thought......

I too have not listed anything in regards to the hike in fees....c'mon it might be okay for the "BIG" sellers, but what about the "little guys" like me who love to both sell and buy on EBAY, but c'mon as a "hobby" level it's gonna kill me to try and make it fun anymore(unless i happen upon some high dollar item!) and too think EBAY can try and smooth it over by making a Treasure Hunt" at the same time of the fee hike....smooth....right!
