Come one come, all to the lodge, for great winter sport and comfort. Cozy up to the fireplace or dine on fine food and beverage, but more important, have a good time and fine conversation with friends of old and new. Come one, come all and enjoy the ambience. You won't be disappointed.

My older brother and his wife have no children. He would be a brilliant father but her....OMG I would not wish her on anyone!!! Her house is too neat and tidy for messy babies!!!! She's so houseproud. I remember when Sophie was a baby and crawling and we went to visit them. SHe made Sophie a slice of toast and put it on a plate and sat Sophie on the floor with it. Sophie took the toast for a crawl around the living room with my sister-in-law following her around sweeping up crumbs!!!
The important thing is that at least we are able to keep up with the beat ..... no matter how different it is! 😉

Grin at Cricket... Sophie, I feel so uncomfortable in those houses. Husband's Aunt made you take off your shoes when you entered and it was T totally spotless...
Cricket she has a special dustpan and brush to sweep up crumbs off the kitchen surfaces!!!!
Close I remember one time when we visited we kept dropping crumbs behind the sofa every time she wasn't looking!!!! Bad I know, but it made us chuckle!!!
I agree Close. I want to feel comfortable when I'm at someone's house & not be afraid to "breathe in the wrong direction", as they say.

I know Cricket, crumbs, bits of fluff, hair all went down behind that sofa!!! She must have been mad as hell when we left!!!
Close, that's the way it was at my house too. All my kids' friends' home away from home. Which was fine with me!

She's very very fussy about food and it's difficult what to decide to make when they visit! One year they visited I didn't know what to make them for dinner and I phoned my brother before they visited to ask what to make. My brother said anything would do so I suggested spaghetti bolognese. Stephen said that would be a great idea. The following day he phoned and said could I make pasta instead of spaghetti as she doesn't like spaghetti!!! Isn't it all made of the same thing??????
