I played this treasure hunt dilligently the entire time and tried everything in my plower to win a $1000. I tried so hard because I am engaged to be married this year and so far I have no money for the wedding. Well e-bay now all I can say is please give me a $1000 out of the kindness of your hearts so I can have a semi-decent wedding for me and my fiance. Thank you.

My wedding cost the $20 or so for the marriage license. Although i always wanted a dream wedding what mattered to me the most was the person i was marrying. We went to the courthouse in our sunday clothes and was married by the justice of the peace with our best friends at our sides. When we left i was just as happy as i would have been had we spent god knows what on a huge wedding. You need to get over the material things and marry because you love the person, not just to have a wedding. I promise you it will mean just as much. We have been togeather almost 10 years and are finally in financial shape to do something like that. For our ten year anniversary we are going to renew our vows with all our family and friends and i finally get to wear a nice dress and take a good honeymoon. Big weddings are trivial things in life, what should be most important to you is forever being with the person you love dearly. Atleast it was that way for me and if i had it to do all over again, i would do it the exact same way. Love always conquers money.

I am a guy. Why does everyone on here assume I am a girl. And I agree with you that lilred does deserve something for what she went through. I don't know why people are so outraged at my proposal. I don't really expect anyone to just give me money. My whole life I have worked for everything I have. I have a younger brother who just bleeds off of my parents and I don't. I just want to give the woman I love a wedding that she will never regret. And even the cheapest of weddings still costs money. Money that we are really short on.

Lilred. I am aware of what is important in life. To be entirely honest I want a justice of the peace wedding. The only problem with that is that all of our families want to attend and we can't do that at our local courthouse. We though of eloping to vegas but even that costs money. Each month is a struggle just to pay the bills that come in for our the place we are renting and our utilities plus our school payments. I just want to give the woman I love, cherish, and will hold close to my heart forever a wedding that is at least respectable. I am not a freelaoder. I work 40 hours a week. I am a caregiver for the mentally disabled and my fiance works for the same company. Like so many people we just have a bump in the road. I am sorry that I have angered so many of you just by asking for a grand to get married.

You poorly misjudge me. I try hard to be the responsible one. Sure it is hard. I'm 23 and so far my life hasn't gone the way i expected. You know what the last thought I have before I go to bed is? That one day I am going to break through this cloud and I am going to have money. Then when that happens I am going to help someone who has hit rock bottom. I want nothing more than to be a productive member of society. I am sorry lilred that I dusgust you so.

No no no no. I said that you blantantly asking "HEY EBAY GIVE ME $1K TO GET MARRIED" disgusted me. I understand you may be in love, but WHY RUSH MARRIAGE? If you both are happy together, then congrats! If you two truly love each other, then be together, wear your dress slacks and she wear a nice dress, or hell, go down there in ur bathing suits, the point is, forget about a nice wedding, it's not what matters! Your materialistic thoughts of a marriage is also what is beyond disturbing. If at 23, you think that you HAVE to have a nice marriage, then you probably shouldn't be getting married, especially since you said yourself ya'll can't save money. Part of your vows will be "for richer or poorer" so my kind advice is to get a head start!

Oh yeah and the items I have purchased throug Ebay have either saved me money or I ahve sold them at a higher price at my parents secondhand store to make a little extra money for bills.
