Dow, that is sure poopy what Home Depot is doing with the carpet thing. Stand your ground! X-( They screwed me around on a $1200.00 door and when it was all said and done, they gave me back $500.00. It took 4 months, So stick to your guns! I bet you're house is coming right along? You weren't up very late either...

Since my flowers aren't blooming yet, I really enjoy yours! You know though, my Tulips and Daffodils are blooming like crazy. And my Forsythia bush is really nice.
We yanked out (with the chain on the truck) all the 30 year old neglected bushes around here last summer so we are basically starting from scratch...:-( We do have TONS of trees though! Maybe I will take a picture of my yard today and post it...Dandelion garden included as a bonus! B-)

I'm not planning on doing too much today. Finish backing up PC & maybe finish planting. It's extremely windy today. I do have some ironing that needs to be done .... yuk. What about you?

We had to yank out 2 GIANT Pine trees last year ~ They were "gonners" due to bore worms ~ previous owner knew nothing about how to care for anything outside!

Same with these owners. It was a divorce, she got the house and let the whole house inside and out fall apart! That's why it took us almost a year to totally redo it. Plus the floor plan was horrible! We had to bulldoze the backyard and put in a dry creek in the back. We hired a tree man that came and took out 11 trees. We did all the bushes and that kind of stuff. Boy this has been quite the project. 😮

Come to think of it .. that was 2 years ago. My, how time flies! We did lose our beautiful Bradford Pear last year due to the winds. It was huge & perfectly shaped. The wind took out the entire front middle of the tree. It still looked great from inside the houe looking out, but from the street, it looked like a horseshoe! I was so sick over that. I couldn't hardly bear to watch when it was getting cut down.

We also had to pull up several bushes & shrubs. About the only thing that we didn't have to pull was the Crepe Myrtles ~ those are so hardy though, that I don't see how anyone could mess those up.

Oh, our Cherry is blooming now & it's so pretty ~ Apple tree isn't quite there yet.

My boys have to be at the groomer at 9:30 so I will drop them off and go do all my shopping etc. in town today. :_| I don't know why that is such a chore for me anymore. I used to love to shop. I think it's the traffic and the hustle and bustle of it all. That town is growing by leaps and bounds! Plus I'm getting more impatient with age I guess! 😉

We should reach 9,000 today. Hope you'll be here for the party! ~ Skube thinks we have way tooooo many parties!!! ~ LOL

I don't know the names of all these trees. You are so good at that.
I know we have 11 fruit trees in our Orchard. Cherries, Apples, Pears Peaches, Plums. They are WAY too big and 1/2 the fruit went to waste last year. We had hoped to get them trimmed up to 1/2 their size this season, but time got away and now it's too late. We did get the worst ones done though. This Fall, the rest for sure! I would chop them all down if it were up to me! 😮 They are so much work and such a mess. But Richard LOVES that orchard. As long as he keeps it clean, I guess it's ok.

Oh yeah, I read where Skube is a party pooper! 😮 Just kidding Skube! As fast as it goes by, We do have a lot of parties don't we?
Maybe for the 10,000 post Skube will get us our Palace in Maui~ Ya think? 😉

LOL ~ Between islands & ships & now palaces, you're going to run the poor guy ragged! Maybe that's why he's a "party pooper" ~ just too tired to enjoy them!
