Old Brass Door Pulls

Not sure if I'm in the right place...trying to make sure these are solid brass.  Magnet does not

stick to them.  But the white scratches have me wondering..any help appreciated! 

Weigh almost 1.5 lbs.

Scratches on solid brass are typically bright yellow. I suspect this is brass-plated zinc.

pot metal maybe; sometimes called monkey metal. scrap metal mixture made after WW I. problem is - non-repairable because it's not a proper alloy with known "ingredients".

Are you sure these are scratches? I suspect paint markings. Try to wipe them off with acetone. Try to scratch somewhere the back side and if it's bright yellow, the handle is solid brass
