Help Please

I found this item in some totes that my husband got from his mother. She recently passed away. It looks like an old lighter. Could anyone possible help us know how old it is?  All help is appreciated.

Yes, it is a cigarette lighter.  Probably from the 1930's.

Yes, it's a table lighter; that is, a cigarette lighter that sits on a table.  I'd also say its from the 1960s - '70s, based on the style and colors.
