eBay Android app won't stay logged-in

I use the eBay Android app on my phone and recently I've been getting logged out. This causes me to miss notifications and it's annoying to have to log back in every day. Why did this change? Can this be fixed?

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the app with the latest version.  I can't find any settings to correct this.

Have you tried clearing the app's data and cache using the phone's settings: apps: ebay: storage?

The next thing to try would be to uninstall the app, restart the phone, and then install again, if you didn't restart before installing last time.

Incidentally, are you using 2-factor authentication? I found a thread from October that described similar situations (unresolved, apparently) -- but in both of the cases 2-factor authentication was being used.

One user suggested an eBay Chrome extension as a way to get notifications if the app was not staying signed in:

I am. It was working just fine for a while after I started using two-factor, so I think it's something with the app itself. I don't really want to have to use a different program/app/whatever - that's not a "fix" to me.

I'll let you know how things go over the next couple of days. I'm thinking about sending feedback through the Play Store as well.

Unfortunately, still no improvement. I do think the issue is likely with the two-factor authorization. I'm planning on contacting the devs through the play store. Not sure what else to do?
