I used sepia Micron pen, watercolor & color pencil for this little guy A friend of mine shared this cool photo she took of a tree frog on bark, of course I jumped on that like a duck on a june bug!!! here's her photo: I flipped it, rotated a bit and cropped it:

Hey Ann, Have you thought about setting up a webcam to record the art as you go? You could then edit it to show what you want 😉 Don't really know if this would work ...as I don't have a webcam (bought one off my sister then she asked to use it and I haven't seen it since hehehe). It is really good to have the artists in this group do WIP's as we also get a chance to ask some questions. I have been trying a lot of new things since seeing the WIP and all the artwork too!!! Good idea Belinda, but the last thing I need is some new computer gadget to tinker with 😉 Besides, half the time, I'm sitting on the couch while drawing - the computer's in another room. Yes, my couch is my second "studio"! For small close up work (that doesn't need water), it's more comfortable than my chair and drawing table to sit on the couch with the art supported by a scrap of matboard on my knees! If we ever build a real studio for me, it will HAVE to have a comfy chair or couch in it. I'm glad the WIPs have inspired you to try new things :) -Ann

Ann, an artist after my own heart!!! I sit in a recliner with a lapboard -- cut from masonite laminated with formica. There are lamps on tables on each side and a light overhead. That is the ONLY place that I can do ACEO's. For large paintings I have an easel with a clamped light. Jana

LOL...The fact that I draw and paint sitting on my bed was my deep dark secret. Guess I can relax now. 😉

OOOOOOh --- the bed sounds like a GOOD idea -- hadn't thought of it. It is difficult to put the footrest thingy up on the recliner while I am drawing, and sometimes I get SOOOO caught up in a drawing that I don't MOVE for almost an hour -- leg cramps, etc. 😄 Jana
