Timing of Auctions

I was thinking of listing some more auctions and then it occurred to me that it might be very slow next week, with the American Thanksgiving. What do most of you do about listings near long weekends?

Who is adicted, is adicted in the long weekend too. The big pretty money is in U.K ...I think, not here in Canada. That's why I will try to make my listings to end on Sunday at 6 p.m. (east coast time) which will be midnight in western Europe. For you, guys , from western coast, you have to calculate yourself, I'm not sure what time will be there. I don't know if it gives something, but I'll know if i try. Mircea

questions: :) Is it difficult to sell Internationally? I'm currently USA only. I do have paypal. Is it a pain to ship the items? Do you get a lot of sales from Europe?

I sell the other way, with most of my sales going from the UK to Australia, the USA and France. Although Ive only been selling aceos for a very short time, I've sold only a few to the UK. I keep a note by the computer with the times in those other countries...which I then completely ignore as I usually list as soon as a painting is finished. No problems at all sending stuff overseas, except that I take everything to the Post Office to weigh to ensure I have the correct postage and air mail stickers. Chris

I haven't had any problems. They speak my language in UK, Canada, and Australia (KLINGON). I ship 1 or 2 oz. Stiffened note cards. Air Mail Letter Post. The best part is I'm getting rid of all those envelopes and note cards I printed in the 80's. Another 5 years on ebay and they should all be gone. I also have big international retirement travel plans. My salami and I are going to visit everyone who bought a card (I have their addresses...DON'T tell them.)

I've shipped to Canada, France, Mexico and the UK with no problems.

Most use paypal. I get a lot of money orders from Canada.

Im in the UK & I accept only PayPal from international buyers it works for me. Yvonne

I'm only just starting out, but am selling internationally. ACEOs are small, lightweight, and very easy to ship overseas (I do specify PayPal only, though, so I don't have to go to the bank with an international money order). Of the first five cards I listed, two went to Australia and one to the UK. Actually, it's kind of cool knowing that my art ended up on the other side of the globe. :) Kathy
