Specific complaints about new system.

I went into the photo albums and noticed that we can no longer post a description of our album inside of it. For example, I had said that the aceos you see are available but may not be listed at the moment....etc. That is gone. -- Carole

I feel the font here is too small and the little emblems with color are way too small to make out without straining. -- Carole

Since I'm new here, I'm not sure if it's always been this way or not....but do we always have to log-in a TREMENDOUS amount of times during a session? It seems as if I am constantly logging in. ?:|

The two biggest complaints that I'm seeing are the small font size and the constant logging in. I'm hoping that ebay is well aware of these glitches and is working to resolve them. Some of the lesser glitches, I think we'll have to live with. But those two in particular are really bad problems that need to be addressed.

PHOTO ALBUMS: I've already notified the programmers on the photo album descriptions. There are also issues re me having 200 photos to approve - some from years ago. :( Also you can only delete one at a time. The GOOD news is, you can upload 5 at a time. BAD news is that you still can't link to a photo in the albums from the thread. FONT/SIZE The programmers know that one of the major complaints is re size. You can alter it through your IE tool bar - or use your ctrl key and the WHEEL on your mouse - push the wheel toward the screen for larger, or back towards yourself for smaller. LOGGIN IN A LOT ... No, usually once logged in in previous group platform you didn't need to log in again all day if online all day. One way around this, is, when you see to log in. Don't. Instead press 'back' button, and proceed as usual or hit discussions on left, and you should not have to log in. The programmers have been notified on this one, too. OK? This is more a question than a complaint...well kind of. Why do posts stay up forever? I means there are hundreds of pages. I rarely go back further than 5 pages. Couldn't they be deleted say at page 21 or something? Wouldn't that save a lot of space. I think the albums should stay up forever ...but ...not our discussions necessarily. -- Carole

Is there a way to correct tags once they are listed. Mine was filled in automatically with some weird stuff plus i have a few mispellings. How to I delete them and start over? -- Carole

Why can't I delete my watches? It acts like it is working but then they all come back up again. -- Carole

Carole, I wouldn't want to see an automatic deletion of threads as this could mean that a useful thread which can be resurrected when needed may be lost. Leaders should be the only ones to delete in my opinion. Signing in constantly ....I did have some occurrences of this before these group changes went live ...started after the other changes to ebay ...and I did the same thing to resolve "used the back key". I also got into the habit of copying my post before I submitted it (particularly if a long one like this) as sometimes when I went back the post was gone. I found that there was a link to this happening with posts being placed by other members in the same thread which meant when I used the "back" key my post was gone as the thread had been updated. Hope this helps others to understand some of the funny stuff that happens ...and that doesn't always follow what went before. Ripple effect and all that ...hehehe. Regards, Belinda 🙂

ENTERING GROUPS THROUGH EMAIL: Don't know. Try 'refreshing' or clearing your cache then go to community, groups, and see if you can get in that way. I'm going to do a information thing with a link to get in here. I think a lot can't get in. AVATAR - clicking to see previous posts by members I'm not sure what they are doing on this. Have a lot very upset re 'privacy'. I'll let you know when I find out. TAGS They are working on it. WATCHES Can't help on this one either. They have a lot more bugs in this system than I think they ever, ever realised... Hi Belinda...I was not advocating the individual delete threads....I meant the system would delete after 20 pages or maybe even 50....I don't know about you but I would not want to go back 400 pages to seek out a certain thread....just seems like most are gone and never looked at again after a certain amount of pages full. Hi All ~ AVATAR - clicking to see previous posts by members This was an issue that bothered me a lot. But, the GOOD NEWS is this: You can only see posts of the member from the same groups you are both in. I can only see Jilli's posts from her groups I am also a member of. If she makes posts in groups I am NOT a member of, I won't be able to see those. You can check this yourself if you have more than one ID on eBay, or get with a friend and check to see if you see their posts from groups you are not a member of. Yeah I understood what you meant Carole. But I was thinking along the lines that if you didn't watch out a good thread could disappear if not updated "bumped" to keep it from getting to the "cut off" page. And you are supposed to be able to "search" for thread topics too ;-) I have changed my browser from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox and am not experiencing some of the problems I am reading. Maybe IE users could look into changing to MF to see if that fixes some problems ...or not ;-) Belinda 🙂
