Sharing a spring surprise ...

This is part of the beautiful water garden outside the building I work at. Spring blossoms are starting to be eyecatching, some have already bloomed and gone. This is close up, by the cafeteria. The sunlight flickering and catching off trees and blossoms is always wonderful .... but ....

... there is also a wonderful view from my office window, so you get an idea of the beautiful 'stepped' landscaped gardens, and how extensive they are - the other direction is a lake with a fountain that spurts some 50' into the air. A very lovely place to relax and enjoy. Right?

Now go back and take a closer look. (Look here first though). Did anyone see? Such a beautiful and safe spot. :)

I KNOW she does. :) She did this last year too. It was the buzz of the building. She had 12 last year. We wondered how she would get them off there. The did fall, but survived. She took them down to the lake one evening, late. Many stayed back after work, and helped out with a few glitches about finding their way down the terraces. :)

Yep! bet the farm. You win. This occurs all over the south. Mud Island had several each year. people put up sun screens so the Ducks do not dry out from the heat. Put out bowls of water. Sometimes even good food so Mom can stay close. Beautiful, hope the weather does not bother Her. Did you read about George the Eagle, His mate is in hospital and He is trying to protect the nest. Thanks jillian Sherrie

:) She gets a lot of attention. People feed her - and get chased off! :) You'll notice there are no tulips in that bed. The gardeners know not to plant them there. After she's gone they replant that garden bed. I'll try to remember to take more photos when hatched.

Must admit that it does one's heart good to take a lingering look out the window once in a while. 🙂
