Problem with lost mail, what to do?

I had a recent problem with the delivery of one of my ACEO prints. I had mailed it out on May 25th using regular first class mail. The buyer never received it. They contacted me wanting another one. This time to make sure that it was delivered I mailed it in a bubble mailer and added delivery confirmation. This made it a lot more expensive (since the original only sold for $1.25 with free shipping). But they were a repeat customer, so I figured I would go ahead and bite the bullet on the shipping cost. My question is has anyone else had this problem? And what if this happens again, what should I do? Thanks to all for answering. Marisol

Re: Problem with lost mail, what to do?

Another weird thing: A lot of mail routes numbering is decided by the actual mail carrier. When a large amount of houses are being built the postmaster will have a meeting with the carrier and the two will decide where boxes will be put and how the numbering will be done. My one route the numbering is completely out of order because the mailman numbered the houses as they were built and not in order going down the street. This makes learning and delivering a nightmare. Not to mention, I cant imaging being an ambulance driver or pizza man! -Tina

That is just WEIRD. I can't imagine the city allowing the housing addresses to be dictated by the post office. That would create a HUGE nightmare for deliveries of any kind, or worse, emergency vehicles. -- Kathy
