Long story - you can read my blog post for the details (http://annran dot blogspot dot com/2007/07/tennessee-tomatoes.html) - but I just finished this 4" x 4" painting of a tomato worm for an art show in Nashville, Tennessee. It's just such an odd subject, I wanted to share! Beautiful Ann! I love the way that tomato looks...like it's all reflective and shiny...very cool worm too! Welcome Gail! I've been doing some painting on a couple of old doors I picked out of someone's front yard. They were getting rid of a bunch of old doors and windows and I grabbed them up...that was a few years ago! I finally hinged a couple together and am painting the glass on each side. Just thought this would be neat for someone's home...or front porch..for decoration! -- Cherie

ANN!!! Love love love the Tomato Hornworm. I once saw one of those monsters on a lawn near a pond. We were feeding the mallards with bread bits. Suddenly, one of the ducks saw the hornworm and ignored our bread ostentatiously, rushed over and scooped up that worm like it was a candy bar.

Wow loove the doors! Wow I received this nice package in the mail today from a woman on ebay that loves my artwork.She use to be a hatmaker in 1950's.I owe her a big Thank You! I don't understand why I receive such goodness from strangers and my own friends,family are M.I.A.!?? What an angel! I have more pics to take and post on my blog.I also found a very old love letter and valentine in a dumpster..out here they throw everything out when a cottage is transformed into a huge McMansion! Anyway I did not know people talked to each other in such a formal manner? 1910 I think it is? I will have to take pic when sun peeps back out.What is really strange the date is my birthday? July 30th?..maybe I am NOW just receiving the letter from a past life?!! I will take pics if sun comes out tomorrow..it has been snowing for 3 days.I guess being a weirdo and strange is the new normal??!
