I promised myself that I'd have my new art off the drawing board and on eBay by Nov. 1st and I'm happy to announce that I accomplished that goal. Hey guys! Well I am doing the 100 theme challenge on Deviant art and I will as much as i can keep it to mermaids.. The first one I did was called "Silence" You can check it out on my DA page:) The body and proportions are REALLY not good but I need to practice my watercolors and shadowing.. Cynthia, I think your mermaid looks like a serieso f hearts...therefore the lower part of the body fits in with the composition. And I have been doing watercolors lately and it is not the "easy" medium that everyone thinks. Your colors are great! What is the 100 theme challenge? Sounds like fun? I just listed a 5"x 5" painting of a beautiful 3yr old Rat Terrier named Ms. Mya. In one of the shelters I visited this past weekend, I tried to adopt Ms. Mya because of her personality and her info said she loves cats. As luck would have it, a selfish shelter employee adopted her that morning. (durn woman wouldn't even take a bribe lolol) I would have taken her in a minute, but I am so happy she found a loving person to take her. Did you know that Rat Terriers were finally accepted into the AKC in 2005 even tho they were working on many farms in the US getting rid of vermin since the turn of the century. The breed is famous also...The dog "Nipper" that was on the RCA logo was suppose to be a Ratty, President Theodore Roosevelt had one in the White House to get rid of the rats and they have been in many movies such as "The Great Train Robbery", "To Kill a Mockingbird" and Bram Stokers "Dracula". http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZffrank55QQhtZ-1QQfrppZ50QQfsopZ1QQfsooZ1QQrdZ0?

ffrank, I just have to say again, I'm just amazed at how real Ms. Mya looks. It is truly incredible. The nose, the eyes, her coat around her eyes, it's like she's on the other side of the computer screen looking at me. Absolutely amazing.
