Keeping Track Of Customers

Do you keep track of your customers to email them about your new listings? What method do you use and/or how do you keep track? Here on eBay or through your personal email address book? How often do you email them? Just wondering if you do this and how so I can decide the best way for me to keep track of my customers, in case I have some repeats. Is it against rules to copy their email information to do this?

You may want to look into this further. I think if you email someone about ebay & they did not ask for the email, it may be considered spamming. I send a newsletter to my art customers through my ebay store, but only to those that have signed up for my newsletter. In regards to keeping track of artwork & customers to see if I have return customers, I use an artist database recommended by jillian, it's called working artist. I love it. --
