Is Ebay slow for anyone else?

I have a question has business on Ebay slowed down for any one else or just me? February was one of my best months since i Started selling last June but early March it started to slow and pretty much died for most of April. Any one else having trouble?

Yes - you are not alone. Due to Ebay's genious move to put store listings in with regular auctions and Fixed Price items, buyers now have about 14,000 listings to plow through instead of about 4 - 5,000. Less sales for us - less money for Ebay! Sue

Okay, thank you I had not realized they had done that... Because it was right around when the new listing prices kicked in that things got slower. Maybe it may be worth while to try to open a store. I tried it for a month but I didn't have nearly the traffic with it as my auctions... Thank you!

I closed my store because of the new fees. For a basic store the cost is $15.95. Any listing in a store WAS 3 cents. Now Ebay will throw all your store listings in with all the auctions & Fixed Price items for 20 cents. Do the math. It will cost you MORE to have a basic store. I usually had about 150 listings in my store. My fees would have gone up over 100%. And they tell me this is good for me!?!?!

I wouldn't recommend a store to anyone, at least not now. Since the policy change, it's become VERY costly to operate a store. Ebay is claiming that your store items will now get better visibility since they added them to core, but being mixed in with 17,000 like items sounds more like INvisibility to me. -- Kathy

Vinyl records are up 500+% in number of listing increased by. We are about 100% up at the moment, but was up about 125% until recently. -- ~Jillian artist, Jillian Crider ... google me!

Wow, I haven't stopped in for a while. What a bummer I am reading. I was wondering if we would notice any real impact, and it seems like you are indeed seeing a negative one. Yeah, I wouldn't dare try the new "free" 99¢ listings. I think an item listed at 99¢ is pretty much guaranteed to sell at that price (it if sells at all). -- Kathy
