Help! Advice on my ACEO's Please.

Help! I am getting discouraged. I haven't sold any ACEO's in the last 2 batches I listed. When I do sell them they are usually for the starting bid (which I would welcome at this point). Any constructive criticism would be appreciated. Here is a link to my lastest completed batch. Thanks for Looking! http://search-completed.ebay.com/ACEO_W0QQamp;sspagenameZhQ3ahQ3aadvsearchQ3aUSQQcatrefZC5QQfbdZ1QQf... Lynne

Help! Advice on my ACEO's Please.

Hi, Lynne, Ditto on what everyone else had said! Who knows why people buy or don't buy. Believe me, it is NO reflection on you as an artist. So here's an example of eBay strangeness: A couple of weeks ago, I see an ACEO that I wanted, but, I thought, oh, it's too beautiful, I won't be able to afford it. I put it on my watch list, and day after day, I looked at it, but didn't bid, thinking that I wouldn't be able to afford it, because I knew that there would be other bids, etc... So, here's the sad part, I wasn't able to check my watch list, and the item ended WITH NO BIDS! I was so disappointed! Next week, it's relisted, then sells for SIX TIMES the original starting price! (Which would have been out of my price range.) Moral of my story: Bid anyway! If you get outbid, then it wasn't meant to be. So, maybe that's what other people do, too. Don't know, just my sorry tale! Julee...that's amazing! The scanner DOES NOT do your work justice! Penny 🙂

Hello. It's August. Meh. Wibble wibble wibble. Teh suxxor. Is not condusive to people spending outrageous sums on stuff. Or money on much. Hence why I am sticking with the tried and true, and pandering to my customers (begging, begging begging). Flip through the listings. You have people that are enormous heavy hitters like Melody Lea Lamb selling her originals for $20 - $30. Never happens. Her stuff goes for much more, in the fall. For every thing you don't sell now, you will sell two of in the Fall. Your things are beautiful - nice work! It's not you. It's THEM - the people on vacation, re-ordering their lives, starting up school, travelling - anything but buying stuff on ebay. Think of how much gorgeous stuff you will have for around Christmas time, when volume goes up, people are looking for the 'next hot thing', when more artists go into their annual hibernation cycle as a respite from summer festivals. You MUST keep sellingyour things, though. I can't stress that enough. You MUST keep listing your things, because that's how you get the patrons. They may not like this, or that, but when you combine something together just the way they like it - blammo. All those people who have been watching will bid it to pieces. *hugs* - give it a while. Trust me. It's worth it. In the mean time, make more stuff.

I've had the same problem and did get discouraged at times. I think your work is really great-- I would buy, but am having hard times, myself selling stuff right now (things are going for such cheap prices and only cover my seller fees). *Keep working on your art* and like mentioned above, you will have a lot of great items for the holidays that people will surely buy =0)

I have found I don't sell much on weekends. When the weather is tolerable people get out and go away and visit relatives and friends. Also VACATIONS! You just wait until everyone is house-bound because of 10 feet of snow outside their doors, then they'll have their noses glued to the computer. Don't give up -- it has happened to us all! Good Luck. jane1234art
