Has anyone heard of this?

I have a store on etsy and in the forums there was a discussion for a site called Trunkt. Supposedly it's where everyone from greeting card companies to interior designers go to find art. There is a free version where you can have 9 featured pieces or for $99 a year you can have as many as you want and you get a spot in their yearly catalog that gets mailed "everywhere". It's juried to get in. I just got approved with 3 of my larger works, but have now submitted some aceo's too. In the etsy forums several of the artists were saying that they get numerous commissions through them. So - I just thought I would pass on the info and also see if anyone else had had any experience with the site? www dot trunkt dot org

I checked it out. Looks good. What do you mean by "Juried to get in"? Is that approving the 9 free listings? Regards, Belinda 🙂

Initially you fill out your profile and submit 3 pieces to be juried. You'll get an email within 48 hours if you've been juried in (although it's usually much faster). Once you're in then you can add in your other pieces - up to 9 total on the free account - and also add additional information about yourself. Each piece is reviewed separately, but even if they refuse a specific piece, that won't effect your account once your in.

Oh well. Shelve that. They don't like me. Within 10 minutes ... "Thank you for applying for a LookBook profile on trunkt dot org. We get many amazing applications every week but, unfortunately, cannot accept them all. At this time, we have decided not to accept your application for a LookBook profile. Due to the volume of applications we receive, we cannot provide individual feedback. In most cases, investing in professional product photography and website design improves your chances of being accepted in the future. You can apply as many times as you'd like. Best, The Team at Trunkt" -- ~Jillian artist, Jillian Crider SUGGESTION: Give group leaders the OPTION to show/hide avatars/signatures in their groups - and leave no gap/space so scrolling is lessened. Thanks for sharing, myoung -- Carole myspace.com/readingsully Sure would be nice if : 1. there was a box to type a page in on the boards and photo album. 2. there was a posting box at the top and bottom of page on boards. 3. we could search photo album using ID and there was a place to post a description of our albums like there was before.

Jillian, Not to worry, try again. I heard in the forums at etsy that due to the overload of applications alot of folks were declined. (including myself, man that sure hurts the fragile ego!) But also in those forums, some have tried 2 or 3 times and then have gotten accepted. So, not to worry! Carol

Carol is right. I think the problem is that the discussion on the etsy forums caused a huge surge in apps and they're just overwhelmed. I was just lucky and got in when there were only 3 pages to the thread. Within a day there were over 28 pages, I think, most of the responses from people who were applying. Just give it a bit to cool down over there then re-apply.:-)
