Vena, I think you should make your own coffee table book. It would be very intertaining. You could customize the calendar template on the z site and turn it into a booklet. Just a thought. ~Patty~

Thanks Patty - I will look into that! I've been wanting to do something like that for a while, though I will have to repaint some of my favorites since I was too dumb to know how to change the resolution on the scanner to high-res when I started out. Luckily, I kept all my sketches! :) Vena

Vena. As Lanie said ... you're an absolute treasure. Your interpretations are priceless, and this one alone is amazing. How DO you think of these things, and come up with such derned cute interpretations? I'm only too happy to inspire art in every artist with these challenges, as I have done from the very first time I opened this group. I think I missed only one week. But thanks go to you for stepping up to each new challenge. I'm sure that people look forward to them ... just to see what you have gifted us with now! This is another 'priceless' work from you. Great suggestion about the book. OMG - I am so touched and flattered - thank you! I have always had an alternate reality in my head where animals are much more interesting than people, and always up to something! The animals I have had are always doing things totally unexpected that illustrate a definite sense of humor and much more going on in their heads than "how to take care of (Insert animals)" books ever dreamed. These challenges are such fun to me, because FINALLY the creatures in that world get a chance to show off. Just having an outlet is a delight - to have them appreciated is more than I ever dreamed. Thanks so much - if I get no other present than this for Christmas - it will be plenty. :) Vena

When I come in here, it's like reading the newspaper. I read the new articles, the latest scoop, what's the buzz, then turn to challenges for Vena's Funnies, and Suspenders for a laugh. I would not read a newspaper without the funnies. It's the best part of the paper :) Stef*
