Absolutely. I was wondering if anyone would do something for Johnny Cash. I wondered how. This is perfect. He was a fabulous man - I met him when he came to Australia, as I worked backstage and was VIP for his show. -- ~Jillian artist, Jillian Crider ... google me!

Oh, I'm so jealous that you got to meet him. I was a long-time fan, and saw him in concert many many times. The last time I saw him was just a few nights before he was forced to stop performing due to his health. He didn't look good at all. It was House of Blues in LA, and I was standing right at the stage. When he went off to the side to let June do her songs, he looked down and made eye contact, and smiled at me. I'll never forget that moment. I think he was truly happy, that his career was having this resurgence, and there were so many younger people in the crowd. I was so sad when he died. I believe he died on a Wednesday, and I was working, so couldn't get to visiting his star until Sunday. Five days had already passed, and people were still placing flowers and candles there, and just standing there crying. Very surreal. I really miss him. Great man. -- Kathy

Yes, it's me, back from the dead - dead-tired, that is. This has been a rediculous summer - apparently I am the only reliable person in Memphis, so I have had housesitting and extra shifts added to my overcrowded life, plus SEVEN kittens rescued from a broiling dumpster running around the house. Now, extra help has been hired, the homeowner has returned, and the cats I couldn't place were taken to the pound. I kept three, so now I have 5 dogs and 3 cats! Here's my CASH aceo - being short of funds, two bats stage a midnight heist! Vena

Vena! I MISSED you SO much! YAY1 Thank you. * * * * * * * * * On Johnny Cash: He was in a baseball stadium performing (main one in the city so was nice - but no fancy theatre-type venue). I used to play men's basketball at the time, so one of few females around. I got to be 'liaison' in VIP area a lot, running errands, and so forth. Making sure all OK. Security, etc. So had freedom to access many stars and Johnny was always an absolute fav by a MILE! He was so nice. I certainly remember him as being tall. He was 6'3", I'm 5' 3". He was talking to someone leaning against door frame - propped against it - like forming a triangle, with palm against frame, head height or taller. I couldn't get past and was really busy with errands. So, rather than interrupt I scooted on under his arm - at least 4-5 times. I remember him not skipping a beat in his conversation, as he twirled under his own arm, and back to the converstation each time, laughing. And then later talking to me in very friendly fun manner. I'd been talking to his driver, too. I spoke to him mainly about his love of old cars. I had his autograph. I sold it around 2000 on eBay.
