Gorgeous! Two thumbs up from this house. Karen, my husband was wondering how long it takes you to create one of your masterpieces? All the submissions are just wonderful! Joy

Thanks Joy. There's researching ideas (that can take a long time especially if I get distracted, which is not necessarily a bad thing because it can lead to other ideas), the sketching (ideas and drafts), then inking, then layers of paint... they take maybe three or four hours all told. It's sort of hard to say though because a lot of it is sitting around waiting for paint to dry... or I'll work for a stretch of time, then do other things and come back to it later. If I apply myself I can do one a day but usually I stretch it out over two or three days. When I did this last one, I was snarling at myself for choosing to do those fiddly little ghoulish mice and ghosts. I had to use teensy brushes on the small bits. Grrrr. I'm sure Mick does his faster because he uses spray paint for his acrylics.

Excuse me? I ONLY use rollers and 4 inch foam brushes. I'm thinking of expanding into breasts, if I can find a reliable supplier.

Another "Haunted", with poem. Vena The Haunted Jewelry Box It was just a little music box With a dancer on tiptoe And a ballerina ghost inside Consumed with rage and woe. On opening night the understudy Plunged a knife into her heart. Now she comes out to seek revenge When she hears the music start.
