Another idea for promoting ACEOs

I've always thought that the european market is bigger than the North-American one. And besides just few people from UK, I didn't see too many artists from France, or Italy, or...others. I think that is a language problem. If any of our members are from France, for example, or knows french very good, they can write for us in french the definition of an ACEO, a little bit of history, how collectible they are, etc, and we (the rest of ACEO sellers) can include it in our presentation when we list ACEOs. The same for other languages. I'm sure there are many potential collectors there, but they just go over all those images marked as ACEO because they don't have any idea what they are. So please, Jil, you may know better who is from where, and you can send them by email a request for a little "composition" which could be helpful for all. Thanks

That's a good advice to use those website. Thanks! I don't think to change the name of ACEO in other languages. My opinion is that the name ACEO is a name which has already "roots", had become a new word, so let it as it is, but just has to be explained in other languages. Then, i think is good if we have a short paragraph...standard, all the same, (we can translate it in other languages after),we can make some stickers with it and to stick them on the back of our ACEOs.

ACEO is an acronym, so wouldn't change it at all. We can get into nitty-gritties once we put it all in force.

I used to have my auction text in different languages, untill I changed it for the template I use now. It sells slower in other countries, but it does sell. I'll go dig in my old files to see if I still have my old text. The problem with babel is that sometimes, (for a long chunck of text) it translates wierd things. For amall stuff or single words it helps a lot though. The one queen bee mentions is pretty good. Oh! And be prepared in there to say that you can help in English (unless you are fluent in german or whatever other language) Because you might get some hard to answer emails if you don't LOL If anyone wants text into spanish, let me know 😉

beware those websites if you are listing much text--they sometimes make a hash of the language. If anyone needs standard German to do a listing, for a reasonable fee or card swap I'd be glad to help. I speak and write English, German and French.

Thanks, Yes I would like to have a text in spanish. And in french. And in German or Italian.I don't bother about questions because I know a little bit some of those languages, but I'm not able to make a text without mistakes of grammar and spelling. (In English the same, bytheway) But if anyone wants a text in romanian, I can gladly help. But I doubt you can find collectors to pay the price, there. If we can make ...a kind of a resource file with the text in as many languages as possible and who needs something can go there and copy, will be great.
