Selecting theme week (TW) topics for 2012 #3

Hi everyone! It's time once again to select TW topics for last quarter in 2012.

ATTENTION: we will not have theme week in August this year due to the unavailability of AAEC members. The topic originally selected for August ("Old houses") will be held in September instead.

We will first ask you for topic ideas (in this thread), and then the ACEO Activities and Events Committee (AAEC for short) will narrow them down to 10 possible topics per month, to be voted on by poll in this group.

Planned timeline (give or take a few days):

• Topic ideas requested in the group: from now until July 25
• List of topics narrowed down by the AAEC: last week of July
• Polls posted in the group by August 3
• Voting in polls: August 3-25
• Topics posted: August 26

Hopefully this schedule will give you ample time to plan and create your TW ACEO’s.

Please jot down up to 3 topic ideas per month for OCTOBER, NOVEMBER and DECEMBER 2012.

We will be looking for popular topics (so don't hesitate to repeat or refine what others have suggested). We want to encourage originality while at the same time leaving enough room for various interpretations of the theme. So put on your thinking caps and post your suggestions below!

Wow!  Just voted.  Surprised to see the votes nearly all evenly divided!  I think we have nearly four schools of thought going at one time.

Where are the Theme Week topics that were chosen for October, November and December listed?  I've read through the posts and I can't find the listing of the winning topics.  Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.  Please let me know.

Hi Sherry, you're in the right place, it's just that I'm late posting. I was on vacation until last weekend and had a lot to catch-up with on my return (back-to-school for my kids, back to work for me, a (minor) flood in the basement and a broken AC unit). Now I'm about back on track, so here are the topics:

- October: Best costume

- November: Birds of a Feather (flock together)

- December: 12 days of Christmas (pick one of the days)
