Also looking for the highest sold ever.
Thanks, Rebecca

Hi Becca,
2004 is when this group started–by bone diva. There was a whole history page on eBay at one time. I'm sure it is still here somewhere.
I don't know the highest ever but there is a high bid showcase album of ACEO's that sold between $76-$100. Click here for that.

Hi Becca!
Just thought I would add that there's another High Bids Show Case $201 or more, here too:

The highest I saw was sold for $416.99, Aug. 2005
The good ol' days when people had money! 😉

Hello everybody, good to see some familiar faces here - I've really missed this community (& the other groups). Whew!!! No, the stress/medical stuff didn't slow down any -- I feel like I've been in a deep hole with dirt being dumped on me (maybe I need to take a lesson from the donkey who kept stepping on top of the dirt until he walked out of the hole). Jim was diagnosed with prostate cancer...a very aggressive one, so he opted for surgery - good thing because when they took it out, they found it was even more aggressive than they originally thought (at the top of the scale) -- but the good news is that it was still all contained within the prostate & lymph glands in the abdomen checked clear (they removed the ones that were closest as they were most likely to be involved - but they were still clear). So it is good that he was being checked on a regular basis so it was caught early AND he did not hesitate to get it addressed (my Dad did NOT go to the doctor soon enough, & died of a skin cancer that would have been easy to get rid of - I've never let Jim or our kids drag their feet like that).
I'm still trying to do some painting (just sketching, non-serious stuff - but at least it's something) - & checking sales opportunities. Is eBay getting any better? Where's everybody selling these days?

Hi Sue! Ebay is going great for me, but then I'm not selling art right now. I have all of my photography and digital designs in my Zazzle store now, and use ebay more for yard sale stuff. I know a lot of people are doing well at Aunt Betsy's, and some are still doing quite well here. I'm still seeing ACEOs sell on eBay in the hundreds, so there are still plenty of buyers.
Glad to hear that your husband is doing well. My hubby was also diagnosed with prostate cancer a few years back, and also had the surgery. He was only 50, so they recommended the surgery because of his relatively young age - get it out and eliminate the chance of it ever coming back. When they removed it they found that the cancer was just starting to breach the prostate, so if he hadn't had the surgery it definitely would have spread. He did go through six weeks of radiation to kill any cells that may have spread, but they're now saying he's cancer free, so it was worth it. You're SO right that early detection is the key. Glad it all worked out well for both of you. 🙂

Kathy, glad your husband got through his ordeal - so lucky that it was detected & addressed in time!
We're feeling a little better now that we're back to doing some yard & garden work - & I especially feel better since getting a cortisone shot yesterday (for the rheumatoid arthritis that was crippling my right hand, especially).
Still trying to come back to life in art...
Sue
