April 1st is the day to list your
~ Eggs ~themed ACEO's if you want your entry to be considered for a prize!
The rules are below.

ACEO theme week (TW) is a fun group competition where group members can win a jpeg “award” certificate to use in future auctions!
The
TOPIC is different every month and is selected by moderators after polling members, then posted ahead of time (check the group calendar entry for the first of each month to find the upcoming themes).
There are two ways to win:
1. Artists whose ACEO(s) reach the highest number of bids by individual eBay members (“unique bidders’) , meeting and exceeding 3 unique bidders, will receive
1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize awards. There will be only one prize awarded per artist.
2. An additional
“People’s Choice” and/or
“Most Unique Interpretation of the theme/Most Creative” award will be made each month for the artists selected by group poll.
Two nominees, one for each category, are submitted by any and all members of the ACEO ~ Art Cards Editions and Originals group to the email account
aceovotes@gmail.com.
Artists can be nominated by any and all of the members of the ACEO ~ Art Cards Editions and Originals group from the 10th - 14th of each month. One nomination, per category, per member.
A group poll for each of the categories will be set up. Eligible artists will be included in the poll based on the number of nominations each artist has garnered. Each poll can have up to 10 nominees and may vary in selection options each month. The exact number would be determined by tally of the nominations.
The polls will typically be set-up around the 15th of the month and closed on the 19th, with winner(s) announced soon afterwards.
****Artists that have won the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize awards based on unique bidders are
not eligible for these awards.
How to enter:
* Create an
ORIGINAL ACEO (2.5” x 3.5” art card, any medium) inspired by this month’s
TOPIC.
* List an eBay auction
on the 1st of the month. Put
“ACEO TW TOPIC” in the title (replace
TOPIC with the month’s topic, e.g.
moon).
Using TW instead of Theme Week leaves more space for other keywords in the title

Listing MUST BEGIN on the 1st of the month (by the eBay US official time - between
12:00:01 AM and 11:59:59 PM Pacific time, or GMT-7).

* Auction duration must be
7 days or less.

Starting price for the auction must be
$4.99 and shipping costs must be reasonable.
* Each auction can only be for a
single ACEO, but you may list as many auctions as you want.

PAID Listing upgrades such as bold, highlight, subtitles, featured etc.
are not allowed, except for gallery(FREE upgrades are allowed). Likewise, listing in
multiple eBay categories, offering free shipping, and similar
promotional sales strategies should NOT be used for the listings used in TW.

No shill bidding: to keep the contest fair and fun for everyone please refrain from asking anyone to bid on your TW auctions.
Listings that do not meet the rules will not be eligible for a prize.
These rules were developed by the AAEC after input from members of the ACEO group, and are meant to keep the playing field as even as possible for all group members. If you have any questions or concerns about these rules please contact one of the group moderators.
The AAEC will search eBay US for completed listings based on the “ACEO TW TOPIC” keywords in the title.
*** If your listing does not show-up in this search, please let us know so we can include your listing in this final tally.
Listing topic-inspired ACEO’s without entering the contest:
Members are welcome to list ACEO’s based on the month’s theme without entering the contest. To do so, just list your ACEO’s as usual (no need to follow the rules above).
For the title, you can
use the word “theme” in the title instead of TW to avoid any confusion, e.g.
"ACEO theme Eggs".

Too many keywords in your title? A suggestion has been made; use the drop down menu "Other" under the description of type of art section- when listing the item, & type in "Theme Week". Anyone searching “Theme Week” would find your ACEO.

You may want to make some extra
"Eggs" ACEO's to use in the swap later in the month (look for the SWAP sign-up 12th-15th ), or wait to see if your TW listings sell.
