Hi,
I am selling my bag collection internationally and one the bag is going to US. Using the tracking service provided by USPS, the tracking shows :
Processed Through Sort Facility

ISC NEW YORK NY(USPS)
Registered Mail™
Origin Post is Preparing Shipment
Processed Through Sort Facility
February 10, 2012, 4:35 pm
SINGAPORE, SINGAPORE
Does that mean that my buyer has received the item? What is happening? Appreciate any advise.
Thanks

It appears this package has gone all the way back to Customs and was on its way back to the sender of the Package. Any package that is from overseas, NEEDS TO BE SIGNED for. It appears that you had it sent to a BUSINESS address. It says in the listings BUSINESS CLOSED on the date they attempted delivery. The Post Office in Forest Hills should have tried to make an attempt to redeliver on the next day or you should have gotten a notice ( probably stuck between the door and frame) telling you attempt was made to deliver and telling you to go to the post office directly to pick up your package. Seeing as how it appears you did not do that they assumed the package was UNCLAIMED and was then sent back to Customs for preparation to send it back out thru Customs to the point of origin. It looks like it is part of the GAFU ( Great American F*** Up) . Wish I could tell ya differently. . Next time if you expect a package to arrive , You are better off to have it sent to a home address. At least that way you got a shot at having it redelivered to your home.

hiram, welcome to the part-timer's board!
Erm....that post was from back in October. Doubt just2cool is around to care about htat package anymore.
Actually, "Any package that is from overseas, NEEDS TO BE SIGNED for"
is not true. I have gotten plenty of Chinese trinkets I didn't have to sign for. But it was cheap stuff. This package, the seller must have requested a signature.
Business closed on the 14th, then the next scan is the 21st back to the sorting center. You're right, there should have been some more scans about delivery attempts.
Makes you wonder if just2cool ever got that package.

Hello guys,
Can you please give me an advice?? I am expecting a package from US to Greece and in the tracking History I can see the following:
Does this mean that it arrived in Greece and departed again for Chicago?
Thank you for your time!
Best regards,
Katerina

Apparently there is a USPS Sort Facility in Athens, Greece. What a strange tracking itinerary this is, It took your package 6 days to get from Chicago to New York and minus 4 hours to get from New York to Greece (a 10 hour and 22 minute flight). That's pretty slow and then very fast even given the 7 hour time difference.!

2 things:
1. The USPS is a joke. Complete joke. Most unreliable service I've ever used. No wonder they are struggling to stay alive.
2. USPS Tracking is an even bigger joke. USPS would be better off only offering tracking on Express Mail. People watch the tracking and just freak out.

"ISC New York" stands for "You Are Screwed"
It is some sort of customs black hole in New York. Many people received registeed letters from Germany with postcards and photos and so on ordered from eBay. I myself have two registered letters from Germany with eBay contents that have been sitting in there for over two months.
There is no way to contact them, no way to complain, no one to complain to. It is Bureaucratic Hell.
