Unauthorized payment dispute

I have a buyer that has open an unauthorized payment dispute. I was wondering if anyone else has gone through this? I provided a tracking number to pay pal to prove that I shipped the item and according to tracking delivered. Pay pay has got a hold on my funds for that item. The buyer has went through their credit card to dispute the payment. I hope that im covered through Pay Pal.

If:


 - you ship to the buyer's PP address


 - use delivery confirmation (or online signature confirmation for purchases over $250)


Paypal is supposed to eat the cost of the CC chargeback.



If that does not happen, you need to be on the phone to Paypal and probably need to speak to a supervisor because their terms are very clear about what they do if you do your part.

5. The PayPal chargeback specialist will then dispute the chargeback on your behalf and try to recover your funds from the buyer's credit card company.


6. If the credit card company decides in your favor, the buyer will be charged for the transaction and you'll get your money back.


7. If the decision is in favor of the buyer, the transaction will be cancelled and the buyer will receive a full refund.

I don't see where PayPal says they'll refund the buyer, even in the last paragraph:

PayPal may protect you against any future claim, chargeback or bank reversal the buyer files in relation to that particular transaction. To get the protection, you must honor the agreements you made with the buyer during the dispute resolution process. But we won't be able to offer protection if the claim has not been resolved by the time the chargeback is received.


 


As I posted, I've seen a lot of sellers burned by CC charge backs through  PayPal. And there's lotsa threads about it:

To be eligible for Seller Protection, you'll need to meet each of the following requirements:


You must send the item to the shipping address on the Transaction Details page.


You must respond to PayPal's requests for documentation and other information in a timely manner.


The item must be a physical, tangible good that can be shipped.
(Example: a DVD is eligible but an MP3 file is not)


Your primary residence, as listed in your PayPal account, must be in the United States.


We recommend that you ship the item within 7 days of receipt of payment. Or, if the payment is for pre-ordered or made-to-order goods, it must be shipped within the timeframe specified in your item listing."

Unauthorized payment dispute

I have the same problem right now seller open Unauthorized payment dispute with pay-pal and my funds were put on hold. I spoke with Pay-pal rep he told me i will be ok since im covered under seller protection. I did call buyer and she wasn't there her sister said she is not here and she asked me who is calling, i told her it Alex regarding recent purchase of Iphone then she asked me have you ship the phone already i told here yes and asked if the real buyer can call me back she told me ok she will and she never did. Later i email her and asked if she received the phone because tracking info shows she did today, she responded (Buyer)= ( (no I haven't probably be Monday when I get it). lying right there next (Seller Me)=(One more question for you did you open Unauthorized Payment Case With Pay-Pal for the phone?) (Buyer)=(yes someone hacked into my ebay account and paypal account but whenever it gets Here I will let you know) really? so much laying (Seller)=(Is this your name and your address ?) Thats where i ship the phone:

(Buyer)=(yes but someone hacked into both of my accounts I don't know who it was)

I'm assuming Pay-Pal will get police involve as well) i wrote that on purpose (Buyer)=(no they didn't say they were they said they would look into it) (Seller)=(You have not answer my question you never intended to purchase my phone?) (Buyer)=(I looked at the phone last Monday but I didn't intend on buying the phone I was at a public library when I looked at it I forgot to logged out of ebay I didn't realize until the 23rd that someone purchased this phone) (Seller)=(I think the whole story with library and someone hacked both of your accounts is not true at all. I think you did something like this in the past and everything went successful for you so you decided to do it again. You already lying about the phone not received even tho USPS shows you did receive. I believe USPS more. And I spoke with Pay-Pal today and they told me they most likely get police involve as well. Also why you used library if you have computer at home. And why hacker didn't change your home address to his address as well. In addition how can someone hack both accounts pay-pal and eBay it's unreal. All your stories smell fishy)

Unauthorized payment dispute

I'm from Malaysia and I just got this issue charge back from a buyer. I contacted paypal and they told me proof of shipping is still not enough, only proof of delivery will decide in favor of seller. They buyer seen rejected to receive the item even though USPS has drop the notice. Paypal said buyer will in favor if the item unclaimed and return to seller. I'm worry and feel so unfair as a seller.Seller not only will lost shipping fee, but Item could be lost during return or not in perfect condition.

Unauthorized payment dispute

I have fought paypal for almost a month. A buyer with a score of 1 of corse bought an item from me. I did tracking plus sig conf. 3 months later they filed thru the credit card they used for not authorized. I provided paypal with both tracking and sig conf. The way it is going I think I will probably loose but i guess that is the price of doing business thru paypal. Thank god paypal and ebay stand behid the sellers NOT...
