Ebay policy on retracted bids is FAULTY. Twice this month I've had bids retracted because "typed in the wrong amount" Both times it was the starting bid price. How can ebay let them off the hook? This retraction should be for OVERBIDDING by mistake not getting cold feet or waiting three days until WalMart has it on sale. If anyone from ebay reads this (fat chance) the policy should (based on PURE LOGIC) be tht if you type in the starting bid you can not be typing in the wrong amount unless you meant to type in MORE not less (since less is impossible)- in which case you can raise your bid any time you want. So bidders bidding the lowest starting amount should not be able to retract unless they are legally blind and totally stupid - which this policy is the way it is written.

I don't disagree with you, however you have to remember that this is eBay, where the customer is ALWAYS right and the seller seldom ever is. All you can do, if you can see their entire user name, is to add them to your blocked bidder/buyer list so they can't bid on your items any more. I wish there were a way to block those who are serial bid retracters... but that's all we've got, as far as I know.
