eBay's Management has made selling almost impossible. All the do, id drive sells away with their Draconian Sell Standards and though we are EMPLOYEES. I am a CUSTOMER. and driving away buyers by making it hard to get what they want when they want it.
It doesn't matter how fast you ship if a buyer has to wait 5 days to buy it or get ripped off to get it sooner.
When a buyer looks at one of my auctions and sees that they can bid and wait a week to get it, or pay 30% more to get it sooner, they GO AWAY. They go to Amazon and once they go away, they DON'T COME BACK.
That's just one example.
Then there is the HOSTILE environment in just listing on eBay. It was bad enough that you might not get paid, or that a buyer were return an item, but NOW, you FEAR eBay more. Fear that they will allow a buyer to steal what you list. FEAR that you may be limited in your ability to list.
Add to this that it takes almost 100 listings to sell 2, and you start looking for other venues. Friendlier venues.

And how is that eBay's fault and not your fault? And why can't you have a buy it now price at any price you want?

Because the OP wants to have auctions with BINs at the same or nearly the same as the starting price. Ebay no longer allows that because it ruins the auction experience for buyers.

When eBay can serve a web page without the servers stalling a couple dozen times a day you might be able to sell something here.

Let me put it this way. When the BIN was 10% I had sale, after sale, after sale, after sale, after sale, after sale, sale, after sale, after sale, etc.
When it went to 30%, I had NONE, nicht, NADA.
The reason is easy to understand, buyers are not as stupid as eBay believes.
They were perfectly willing to pay an extra dollar to get a #10.00 items a few days early, but they were not dumb enough to spend $3.00 to do the same thing. Some even accused my of trying to cheat them, to rip them off. Nothing has killed off my sales more than this change. It never encourages buyers to bid and if the intent was for eBay to get a higher FVF, 30% of "ZERO" is still "ZERO"
As eBay is raising their fees, they want sellers to lower their prices.
I did much much better before eBay decided to help so much. When I was paid with a Postal Money Order. When the purpose of eBay was SELLING. Now it's just all about FEES.

You have a point, but eBay rarely listens to sellers, if they did the executives would be here interacting with sellers, I guess they have more important things to do like coming up with ideas that every user hates, you know, those bidding reminders that irritate sellers and buyers alike when they can't even use page navigation since the reminders keep popping up.

Of course they do. If you are charging more than the buyer can get it at Amazon or from another Ebay seller then that is YOUR problem, not Ebay's. Charge the price in which buyers WILL purchase your items and you will be selling day in and day out forever. it's up to you not Ebay. No one forces you to charge more than an Amazon or other Ebay sellers.

Don't feel bad. Etsy does this kind of **bleep** all the time. As of late, they've been pushing big stores up and little ones back. I'm sure ebay does that too.
On both platforms it's all about the fees not about the little people. You and I and millions are vying for a slice of the ebay pie but ebay doesn't want to share any. Etsy is the same...
So I just grin and bear it. Once my hubby finishes html-I'll be opening a new platform, a co-op, owned by the members. 1 yearly fee, no listing fees no back end fees. 3 shop designs...your own cart setup. 🙂
Good luck!

Uh oh. I thought I was there (here) on the new board. I saved the link and it even says 2017 Spring Seller Update > Re: Impossible To Meet Seller Performance Standard ... when I look at the top.
