Some of our products are very large and as such it is common for us to
ship by FedEx SmartPost. Because eBay and/or FedEx does not allow
purchase of a shipping label for FedEx SmartPost when the destination is
a PO Box we mark the large product listi...
Well, I don't know how I'm going to ship the item until I know where the
package is to be delivered. For example...a large box of 18 x 16 x 11
would ship by USPS Priority Mail if it were to go to a locatiion in our
zone because it's the cheapest way ...
When the "undeliverable address" was first noticed by a lucky chance
that I happened to be curious how my shipped packages were doing I
immediately contacted the customer. It was a Friday afternoon, the same
day the status changed to "undeliverable" ...
But then again, eBay states that if you alter the address provided by
the customer then it voids their seller protection guarantee. But I
believe you are correct if the customer is astute enough to do that
before ordering.
As I recall, PayPal does not have an option for FedEx SmartPost. I would
think that towns that require a PO Box probably are small towns and
therefore probably know or should know that when a package is flagged as
non-deliverable address that they be...
Because we want to take advantage of lower shipping costs via FedEx
SmartPost we have certain large items listed as "NO DELIVERY TO PO BOX"
because of the problem I have noted. Our customer can not get USPS
delivery to their house...they are required...
