Buyers asking to add a buy it now or asking what your reserve is

I have had one buyer ask to add a buy it now to a certain item, which I declined. I also had a buyer ask me what my reserve is. I need to know if this allowed by eBay policy. Does anyone know? I don't want to be reprimanded for doing this.
