It’s easy for someone to say, throw it away!? Without at least a little
research that’s silly. It might be Sterling coated in gold. Perhaps
whoever owned it liked gold tone instead of silver? Who knows? Sounds
fun to find it where you did, like a bur...
Ok Jim- add a makers mark to your list! The KB was a makers mark for
Kuzelman Brothers. They have been in existence for 83 years. Actually
established in 1936 and incorporated in MO. Good luck on your next book

I finally figured out the KB jewelers mark on the ring. It stands for
Kunzelman Brothers. They have been in operation for approx. 83yrs.,
their main company head is in Scottsdale, Arizona, however there is a
shop here inSt. Louis, MO.
Hi- The piece is marked 14k however. Perhaps it’s a jewelers mark-but
for whom, is still the question. Let me know if you see anything on it
or who KB might be? I will start w/some jewelers around to see if they

Thanks for your response. I believe it to be a Makers Mark also. This is
a ring that’s been sitting in a safety deposit box for probably 40 years
or more. They just never got around to having the stone reworked into
