mobile app barcode scanner doesn't scan QR codes

Hello, I love using the app, but lately Australia Post have taken to using QR codes for tracking. It used to be so easy scanning the barcode for tracking. Can the app be updated to be able to scan QR codes as well as barcodesome? Thank you
