This is in ebay motors. Is this a typical scam? Seems like all bidders
have 0 or minimal feeback (yes I get you have to start somewhere) but
the whole thing smells fishy.
Reached out to top bidder and they responded with: Oh. I'm so sorry, I
have to cancel my bid. after i calculate the tax, i still need more
money.. you can send second chance offer to another bidder... Canceled
their bid.
Fishy in that the car is not worth all that much (thus the low starting
bid with no reserve) and needs repairs so shipping it to Indonesia would
not seem economical. I'm fully expecting some kind of game to be played
with the payment.
Selling local (craigslist) just gets me scam responses, so far nothing
legit. Car basically has no brakes due to brake fluid leak near rear
wheel so even with jump it's not safe to drive. From what I read there
