ebay system breached and funds sent to fradulant paypal account

ebay system breached and funds sent to fraudulent paypal account.Has anyone had this happen recently?It happened to us and ebay is refusing to accept responsibility.Nothing but run around after run around and more run around.Any advice? thank you
