Instant messaging has the wrong time stamp for the conversations based on my time of sending /receiving them. How do I fix this ?

ebay page opens......click on another tab for an item and the page has a grey crashed icon at the top of the tab. Nothing comes up. So basically only the opening page displays and works. If you open another product it crashes.
