Why do sellers considerate an item shipped by just printing the label .then it sits around for a day or two before actually is shipped.

Why are sellers allowed to count making a shipping label as the item shipped.... and then it just sits there for 2 to 3 days you should only be listed as shipped when it's in the hands of the carrier
