But they didn't charge nor collect the sales tax from the buyer. They took the sales tax from my proceeds instead. Is that fair?

You're missing the point I believe. Ebay did not charge the buyer for sales tax. They instead deducted the sale tax from my proceeds. I paid the sales tax, not the buyer.

Thanks. I just read about the Market Place Facilitators, so using Ebay does not exempt me from collecting the sales tax even though I'm not personally meeting the $100,000 sales. Tough for me I guess.

Unless Ebay is now keeping sales taxes charged & collected from buyers completely hidden from sellers, I can assure you on the payment transaction screen for this transaction, there is NO state sales taxes shown. Zero. That bother me alot.
