Having trouble determining if this is ethnic style or other. The clasp

I have been through the dangles and have yet to determine this one. I
have always thought Coro. Looking at it this morning I found what
appears to be a stamp mark. I looked at Star, Lisner, Coro and commons.
Any ideas? I probably put to many photos, ...
Coupe de, Cadillac, Rolls, Mercedes .. What would you call it? I have
found by the markings that it is made in Firenze Italy - 1960's - The
mark is a star 949 FI - 800 silver. I know that 949 denotes maker but I
have not been able to locate it.
I am wanting to say 40"s, but it could be much earlier from my research.
I wish that the marks had not been off-struck as that may have helped me
determine maker. I feel pretty sure Mexican, but no sign of it either.

Thank you Dream! I too felt this was of a middle east design. Somewhere
in the back of my mind it seems I have seen the clasp and link style of
ethnic design. As far as the stone, malachite was what I thought of
first, but I will need to look further...
