hits ... they don't give a crap who wins it or if it's luck or whatever
- the more people banging away on the site, the better for advertising

brown canteen ... interesting ... obviously it had something to do with
Death Valley (being the hottest driest and lowest place in the US) - so
maybe the canteen was indirectly related to something you'd need in the
desert? tough one
