Why do single item sales in my store remain in the "Active Items For Sale" area after item is sold.

I have a issue with my store dashboard that shows single (1 item) I have sold still in the "Active Items For Sale" area. I then have to cancel the item for sale. Does anyone else have this issue? Thanks!
